Elegant Exit Company (EEC) is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with RM Company, a leading South Korean metal recycler and operator of one of the country’s largest ship dismantling facilities, and ISSAC Green Tech, a subsidiary of ISAAC ENC, a prominent Korean maritime engineering company specializing in floating dry docks and automation technologies for ship recycling operations.
This strategic partnership marks the beginning of a collaboration aimed at developing one of Asia’s largest green ship recycling hubs in the Far East. It combines EEC’s vision for circular maritime infrastructure with South Korea’s industrial expertise and advanced engineering capabilities.
The project aims to enhance a world-class recycling ecosystem capable of processing large ocean-going vessels in accordance with the highest international environmental and safety standards, reinforcing the partners’ shared commitment to responsible ship recycling and the transition towards a circular maritime economy.
The MoU was signed in Seoul, South Korea, where EEC was represented by Satyajit Roy, Managing Director of EEC Trading, and ISSAC ENC was represented by its CEO, Capt. Jong-ho (Joseph) Kwon joseph kwon. RM Company was represented by its Chairman, Jin Soo Kang, and CEO, Shawn Kang.
ISSAC ENC brings extensive expertise in the design and operation of specialized floating dry docks and advanced automation systems, which will play a central role in developing next-generation ship recycling infrastructure in the region.
This partnership represents a significant milestone in EEC’s strategy to establish a global network of sustainable ship recycling facilities within major maritime jurisdictions, including OECD countries. By combining industrial capacity, engineering innovation, and internationally compliant recycling practices, the collaboration reinforces EEC’s ambition to accelerate the transformation of ship recycling into a truly circular and environmentally responsible industry.
